If you are to have a business meeting with a client to close a deal, breakfast is going to be the best time to make it a successful and productive one.

Ryan Estis, a leadership coach and speaker, shares that breakfast is not just the most important meal of the day, it has also been the best time for holding his most productive meetings, instead of having it during lunch or dinner. This has been his practice for the last two years.

Estis maximizes his time by going to a restaurant in the morning so he can order right away from a cashier and makes sure that the meeting lasts for only 45 minutes.

"With a 7am breakfast [meeting], I've preserved my entire morning," says Estis who is based in Minneapolis in the US.

He believes that it makes a difference when it comes to making your meetings successful and productive when you hold it during breakfast because people are just yet to start their day and haven't been hung up on some stress and challenges at work. Another reason he considers is that it is more difficult to invite people for a meeting midday especially when they can hardly leave their work. Some experts would also add that in order to increase your productivity, you cannot keep on jumping from one unfinished task to another.

Laura Vanderkam, US-based author of What the Most Successful People Do Before Breakfast also shares why it is better to have breakfast meetings "The absence of alcohol creates a different mindset" she said.

"People are more business-like and more business-focused." She also added

Morning or breakfast meetings are conducive for quicker and more efficient decision making. It is also less likely to get cancelled because emergency reasons are less likely to happen at 7 in the morning.
