Several reports of ethnic or racial harassment have been reported in different colleges ever since the results of the U.S. Presidential elections have been released. Although the incidents have increased in number after Trump's victory, it is worthy to note that such acts have been occurring well before Donald Trump ran for the position and won.

Inside Higher Ed reports that some incidents specifically involved the President-elect's name, some involved slurs, and others even involved physical harm. And although harassment is nothing new, the current incidents add to the anxiety, anger, and stress that many students feel about the election results.

Here are some of the reported incidents that happened since the election results have been released.

At Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, reports of a social media post featuring two people, a woman and a man, wearing a blackface have surfaced. According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the woman, a student at a school, never meant the post to be offensive. Still, school officials say they're "reviewing every case" of any offensive behavior in school.

At San Diego State University, two suspects allegedly invoked Trump's name before stealing a student's personal belongings, reports KPBS. Campus police say that the attack was possibly a hate crime, since the victim was a woman who wore a hijab. School president Elliot Hirschman said the woman is indeed a Muslim.

At Abilene Christian University in West Texas, two students have been expelled after posting a video of a white girl wearing a blackface, accented with oversized red lips. The video, which quickly spread throughout students, caught the attention of the university president, Phil Schubert, who quickly responded to the situation. He said of those who posted the video, "they are no longer students at ACU."

At the University of Vermont, a swastika was found drawn over a Trump sign, the Burlington Free Press reported. The sign, which is a strong symbol of hate against Jewish students, was written over a sign found near the Hillel offices in the university.
