Samsung premium handsets Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge have officially got the Android 7.0 Nougat update, which perks are currently enjoyed by the users. Will the update rollout sooner to other Samsung handsets too? Find out here!

Android 7.0 Nougat to Samsung Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge

Samsung has officially announced the rolling out of Android 7.0 Nougat to their premium handsets Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. However, the said version of the latest android beta program has limitations due to available spots, device variants and duration, according to ZDNET.

To be able for the users to download Android 7.0 Nougat to their Galaxy S7 handsets, a Samsung Account is required for them from Samsung Member app or Galaxy Apps depending on their place of residence or country. Samsung has already warned that the program is a first-come, first-served basis and once accepted, users are free to report any bugs and issues related to the update.

Furthermore, Samsung said that Android 7.0 Nougat are only available to U.K., U.S., Korea and China. Galaxy S7 handsets from Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon are the only ones eligible for U.S., not including the Batman Injustice Edition and Galaxy S7 Edge Olympic Edition.

On the other hand, only unlocked Galaxy S7 handsets are also qualified to join in U.K., while the official date for an imminent rollout in China is currently being finalized by Samsung but is expected to arrive sooner.

Android 7.0 Nougat to Galaxy S6, Galaxy Note 5 and Other Samsung Handsets

The hottest Samsung handsets, such as Galaxy S6 and Galaxy Note 5, are still running Android 6.0 Marshmallow up until today, BGR reported. However, Samsung has hinted an official rollout of Android 7.0 Nougat to both handsets and others next year right after ironing things out from any reported bugs and other issues out of Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge's latest android beta program.
