LG G5 will also be finally receiving its Nougat update in the middle part of November this year. LG pre-tested this update within a group of South Korean LG G5 owners earlier this year, while Optus Australia confirmed the release of the said update.

This update will be released through wireless carriers, thus, it is possible that the schedule for this can still be changed. However the information came from Optus can be relied upon since LG has been consistently known to promptly release Android OS updates for their smartphones. In addition, LG has already unlocked models of LG G5 thus it can be expected that these can receive the expected updates as well, according to GSM Arena.

It can be noted that LG G5's launched during the earlier part of the year is truly revolutionary, since it is the first modular smartphone. Speakers and camera modules are available as  "Friends" accessories for LG G5, which can be easily connected or detached if upgraded. On the contrary, LG has not reached their expected sales for the LG G5.

LG is targeting higher sales for their LG 20, which already runs of Android 7.0 Nougat. HMC Investment indicated the total sales of LG, and it has only sold around 2.2 million units when it went on sale. This is the reason why LG is trying to uphold major changes in its sales system. Samsung, on the other hand, is hitting its $7 billion profit during the second quarter of the year.

The LG G5 weighs 159 grams, sports a 5.3-inch Quad HD IPS Quantum Display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440. It has a 2,800mah removable battery, 4GB of RAMand 32GB storage. Its processor is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 Quad-core processor, and uses a USB-C type port, according to Know Your Mobile.
