Hank Brown, a former University of Colorado president and U.S. senator, will be giving his career advice to the members of the Boulder Fraternities at a career academy, this coming Sunday, October 30.

Brown will be the keynote speaker for the career academy this coming weekend. This event is particularly designed for the Colorado University juniors.

Brown used to be a student in the university where he also became a member of the fraternity called Delta tau Delta. He was a CU president from 2005 to 2008 and became a senator of the United States from 1991 to 1997.

The career academy will be attended by roughly 60 to 65 students from 18 different fraternities. This event is going to be a discussion on the preparation of the students as well as the helpful tools they can make use of in their future careers including interviewing techniques, networking, resumes and how to effectively look for a job. This is organized and arranged by the Interfraternity Council, the independent umbrella organization for Boulder's fraternity community, which is not associated or affiliated with the university.

The CU junior students are glad to have Senator Brown as their speaker for the upcoming event as he was known to be an active member of his fraternity and is loved for the way he inspires and influences people. "(We're) honored and proud to have Sen. Hank Brown as the keynote speaker at our annual fraternity career academy for juniors," said Marc Stine, Greek advocate for the fraternities. "Senator Brown was an active member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity during his undergraduate years, as well as student-body president. He has often spoken about the positive impact of those experience on his future, both personally and professionally."
