Looks like a good news for those who have been restlessly waiting for the new MacBook as multiple sources have confirmed that Apple is set to unveil its redesigned MacBook Pro 2016 on Oct. 27.

The invites to Apple's imminent event had a simple slogan that read, "Hello again." This seems to be in line with the "Hello" from the first Mac launch event that took place back in the 80s, according to Forbes.

Much to the delight of zealous MacBook fans who were hoping Apple will introduce new Mac hardware, there are rumors that the company might just be doing that. Meanwhile, Apple's plans for the much awaited Oct. 27 launch event are becoming clear.

Widely expected to see new advancements in the MacBook Pro line-up, KGI Securities Ming-Chi Kuo has issued a report that claims Apple will unveil three new models including a 13-inch MacBook Pro, a 15-inch MacBook Pro, and a 13-inch MacBook, MacRumors cited.

The new MacBook Pros are likely to boast an array of awe-inspiring features, including a context-sensitive touchscreen that will oust the physical function key strip. This will allow entry to bevies of popular commands as well as quick actions that can be determined on app-by-app basis. Moreover, the laptops are also likely to come with Touch ID that will facilitate verification of a user's identity.

Meanwhile, other tech pundits claim that Apple will trim down the different ports on the hardware, getting rid of mag safe and primarily depending on USB-C, as far as connectivity and power (backed by a robust Thunderbolt 3 depending on the model) is concerned.

In 2015, Apple introduced a 12-inch MacBook and the device was deemed as a lightweight and highly portable laptop. According to Kuo, Apple will take things to the next level and bump up the screen size of this year's MacBook model to thirteen inche; however, this is a mere speculation and there are no further details at the moment.

Going by Kuo's past track record of breaking Apple hardware related news, the details of the new MacBook Pro and an updated MacBook might just come to fruition.
