Before she became famous and before she is battling a great white shark along the coast line, Blake Lively was like any other student in the United States.

Too good to be true? Her role in 'Gossip Girl' may not be further from the truth. Because shen she was in high school she was actually a star student.

She was even class president at the time and was also quite active in the cheer leading squad, according to Glamour Magazine. Plus, she was also a member of the championship choir. She was definitely not a wall flower. But she is not what you would call part of the popular group. At the end of her school, her class awards her with the 'Class Clown' vote. Maybe she is just a little bit further from her 'Gossip Girl' character.

Born in 1987, this American actress is known mostly for her role in The CW as Serena van der Woodsen. Her most recent movies include 'The Age of Adaline' and 'The Shallows.'

But if you could imagine her in Los Angeles as a kid, she was already exposed to acting at such a young age. Her parents took her with them to acting classes. Both her parents workked in the industry. Her father was an actor and her mother a talent scout. Early on, she was already exposed to acting instead of being stuck with a baby sitter. Seeing her parents teach acting helped her learn the skills needed to act. And in return, she gained confidence when she got older.

Blake Lively was not always interested in acting though. She always wanted to attend Stanford University to get her higher education. However, during her junior and senior years in high school, her brother, who is also an actor, sent her over to audition for a role. She got her break for the movie 'The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.'

While still enrolled in Burbank High School, she filmed her scenes between her junior and high school years.

Definitely one of the famous actresses in Hollywood, it is not known if Blake Lively has plans to pursue her education in Stanford.
