iPad Pro 2 and iPad Mini may still have a few months before the launch date but the recent statement from Tim Cook give us a little more clues on the specifications.

Apple rumor: iPad Pro 2 and iPad Mini might have AR feature?

Apple superfans may have been reading Tim Cook's interview on the future of technology. The helm of Apple said that the company sees a huge possibility in augmented reality instead of rising virtual reality, TechnoBufallo has learned.

Speaking to Buzzfeed, the CEO goes on to say that there is no substitute for human contact, CNBC reported. The idea of AR matches the human's necessity to be social - to interact with the real world instead of making a barrier like how VR is used today. Hence, the augmented reality, according to Cook, may be harder and take time to develop but it definitely will arrive.

With that being said, Apple could be developing AR devices to be featured in the upcoming devices. There is a huge possibility that next year's iPad Pro 2 and iPad Mini, may be enhanced with advanced technology that allows the next level of AR experience.

Aside from the new technology, the iPad tablets will come with display technology that allows faster and smoother navigation. It is rumored to have A10X chip placed under the hood of the higher end of the tablets. The lower-end device, the 7.9-inch iPad Mini Pro will use A9X chip instead.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has said before, that there will be a new iPad Pro device - a 10.5-inch tablet. There is also a possibility of killing the 11-inch MacBook Air due to the new iPad Pro device that will have desktop-class performance.

There is a high chance that Apple unveils the iPad tablets in March 2017 but until Apple confirms the information, this is to be taken with a grain of salt.
