Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun confirmed that the company has no plans to manufacture a 4-inch device. This announcement came after China-based company conducted a poll whether people are interested in a smaller device or not.

This year, the China-based company has released a lot of smartphones and other devices. Among the released devices are, the affordable Xiaomi Redmi-branded phones, Mi 5, Mi 5s and Mi 5s Plus handsets, and the latest, the Mi Max Prime.

In a previous report, Xiaomi smartphone sales has increased. In India, the company sold more than 500,000 smartphones in less than three days between Oct. 1 and Oct. 3, before the company announced Diwali sale.

After gaining commercial success, there are rumors that suggest Xiaomi will manufacture a 4-inch smartphone. However, Jun wrote on his official Weibo (Chinese social media) that the company has no plans to make a phone smaller than 5-inch, Android Headlines reported.

In other related news, Xiaomi's upcoming flagship phablet, Mi Note 2, has been leaked online. In a leaked photo, Mi Note 2 sports a vertical dual camera setup on the back, and comes with dual-LED, dual tone flash on the right.

The company's brand logo is on the lower portion of the phone's back side. The glass is similar to Xiaomi Mi 5. Aside from that, the back side of this smartphone is curved just like the Mi .

The two hardware buttons are visible in a leaked image, which can be seen on the right-hand side of this smartphone .The image also shows that the device has a frame made of metal, and each side is metallic.

Despite a series of leaks online, the company's CEO did not confirm any of these rumors. He only said that Mi Note 2 will surely surprise users. The upcoming Xiaomi device is expected to come in October.

Some reported that Mi Note 2 will sport a 5.7-inch QHD display, and has 6GB of RAM and multiple internal storage variants. This device will run Snapdragon 821 64-bit quad-core processor.
