Virtual reality or VR is already taking on the world, even the education sector is not immune to the charms of 3D gaming. But hey, who said that VR is only for gaming? Here are some of the best VR head sets that are sure to rock the learning experience and revolutionize how students of the future study.

HTC Vive

The HTC Vive is touted as the most immersive headset as it can take students anywhere in then world without leaving the comforts of the classroom. Whether teachers tour their students in the streets of Paris or take them for an inside look at an operating room, the HTC Vive can make them feel as though they are in a real situation. However, there are two things to consider when you decide to invest in it: it is the most expensive in the market and it needs a lot of room space.

The HTC Vive is priced around $800 plus there is a need to have your present system upgraded for the Vive to work. Aside from the price, the HTC Vive requires a lot of room space because it allows the user to be really into the game.

Google's 3D painting app Tilt Brush works best with Vive and can be used in various disciplines from fashion design to engineering and even in creating medical 3D models. Vive has also introduced Viveport which takes people to some of the most breathtaking destinations in the world.

Gear VR

Samsung' Gear VR costs less and its mobile. Compared to the Vive, it is a lot cheaper because it can be hooked in directly to a Samsung mobile phone. The Gear has a lot of impressive virtual reality library for students and teachers alike from museum tours to travel destinations and amazing documentaries. Another crowd drawer for the gear is the recent release of the popular pixel sandbox game Minecraft. However, the greatest advantage of the Gear is its affordability which makes it more feasible for schools to create a VR program.

Oculus Rift

Oculus Rift stands in the middle between the Vive and the Gear. It is less expensive than the Vive but it also needs a high-performing computer system for it to truly work.
