The Galaxy Note 7 fiasco compelled Samsung to recall millions of handsets. Aside from that, it has also created urgency for a brand new flagship device.

Mounting evidence suggest that the Galaxy S8 will be announced in just a few months, and there are hearsay that the device could undergo a radical cosmetic overhaul and come out with no bezel.

Recently leaked renders suggest it will incorporate a dual-lens camera design and will oust the home button in favor of an edge-to-edge screen. The leaked renders were unveiled by Techdroider's Vaibhav Jain, who claims a report from South Korea predicts the Samsung Galaxy S8 will sport a completely bezel-less display. Moreover, the handset is expected to feature sleek, curved side-edges that could extend from the top to the bottom.

Contrary to earlier reports hinting that the Galaxy S8 will outshine Apple's 10 year anniversary smartphone, it looks like the Korean handset maker will actually follow its lead.

After getting rid of the iconic home button, Samsung will either resort to a fingerprint-sensing display or place the feature behind the tempered glass. It's worth noting that these are two strategies Apple has been trotting out for quite some time, DailyMail reported.

With a full screen, videos and pictures are expected to be much clearer and even go so far as to producing a 3D effect. Moreover, rampant rumors suggest that the pixel of the dual-cameras will support 16MP and 8MP.

Another new addition to the upcoming Galaxy smartphone could be an upgraded AP (Application process) that communicates with the smartphone's brain.

Multiple sources claim that Samsung is gearing up to start mass production of 10-nano Snapdragon 830s, which will be used for the upcoming Galaxy S8, at the end of this year at the earliest.

The handset will be up for grabs in four vibrant shades of yellow, purple, blue and red.

Not only will this device be Samsung's first handset to have rear-dual cameras, but it would also be the first bezel-less phone.
