Samsung has just unveiled its new Galaxy series, the Galaxy J7 in Vietnam. The phone is pretty sleek and slim but apparently lacking of some key features.

Galaxy J7 Prime specs review: The specs that are similar to Xiaomi Redmi Note 4

Galaxy J7 Prime and Redmi Note 4 sport 5.5 inch screen with 1080 x 1920 pixels and 401 ppi pixel density, NDTV reported. Samsung manages to keep up with the industry standard by protecting its flagship with Corning Gorilla Glass 4. Whilst Redmi Note 4 users have to purchase their own screen protector. As far as dimensions are considered, Galaxy J7 Prime is 0.3 mm slimmer than the Redmi Note 4.

Galaxy J7 Prime and Xiaomi Redmi Note 4: The differences

Looking under the hood, both phones run Android Marshmallow. Galaxy J7 Prime uses Exynos 7870 Octa processor - a newly released SoC for mid-range - which is a potent feature to deliver fast performance in heavy duty. However, Xiaomi is not that far behind, Redmi Note 4 packs Mediatek MT6797 Helio X20 with deca-core on it. The architecture, as reviewed by WccfTech brings maximum performance with low power consumption.

Samsung offers 32 GB - 3 GB RAM option but users can expand the storage up to 256 GB using MicroSD card in a dedicated slot. On the other hand, Xiaomi offers two editions, 16 GB, 2 GB RAM and 64 GB, 3 GB RAM but the memory expansion uses SIM 2 slot.

Both rear cameras sport 13 MP but Galaxy J7 gets higher quality of selfie shooter with its 8 MP camera plus LED flash feature. Redmi Note 4 selfie camera sports 5 MP lens. The two Android phones components include fingerprint sensor and USB OTG.

Xiaomi is one step ahead in term of battery with 4,100 mAh capacity and turbo-charging feature. Galaxy J7 Prime offers 3,300 mAh without any fast-charging feature.

Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime is priced around $280 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is priced around $135.
