Avid "RDR" fans were expecting Rockstar Games will unveil "Red Dead Redemption 2" in the recently-concluded Gamescom, but were left disappointed as the studio remained tight-lipped about the title as well as the highly-anticipated, "Grand Theft Auto 6."

Rumor mills have been swirling speculations around "Red Dead Redemption 2," hinting that the upcoming sequel to Rockstar's hit western-action adventure game's release is likely to coincide with the release of PlayStation 4 Neo. Rockstar Games however has refrained from spilling the beans about the second installment of "Red Dead Redemption," Mobile&Apps reported.

Rumors are running rampant that "Red Dead Redemption 2" is in the works at Rockstar Games. However, it looks like the studio prefers keeping details of their games under wraps in fact, the company is so secretive about all of their games that it did not even show it off during huge gaming conventions. Rockstar Games usually unveils its upcoming game in events, specifically gaming events.

Despite the fact that Rockstar Games did not officially announce a second installment for "Red Dead Redemption," the exceptionally positive reception on the first game and the title's huge fanbase could just be the encouragement the studio needs to give the game a second shot. In addition to the "Grand Theft Auto" franchise, "Red Dead Redemption" is also the studio's bestsellers.

Things Fans Want To See In 'Red Dead Redemption 2'

Since it has been quite a long time since "Red Dead Redemption" was released, avid gamers are now expecting more from the game's purported sequel, iTech Post reported.

Optimistic "RDR" fans expect the rumored sequel to pack "Fallout 4's" settlement creation feature. This would enable players to build things out of the available resources; this includes houses, furniture, building et al.

Moreover, gamers want the studio to up the ante and come up with characters capable of carrying out heists.

In order for the game to surpass, or even match the incredible experience of the previous installment, the upcoming title will need to add more action that may encompass the protagonist's newly acquired skill to swim across bodies of water.

Lastly, adding two or more playable characters will be a good idea and the move will surely benefit "Red Dead Redemption 2."

Rockstar Games is expected to divulge more details about the highly-anticipated title soon. Stay tuned for more updates from the studio.
