During the 2016 San Diego Comic Con, fans were given a glimpse of what the new Spider-Man film, "Spider-Man: Homecoming would feel like.

According to a report by the Hollywood Reporter, the glimpse was in the form of the first film footage for Spider-Man:Homecoming, which showcases Peter Parkers life as a high school student, and fans inside Hall H was more than pleased with what they saw. The footage was exclusive to those that were present at Hall H, so fans will have to be contented with reading about it, just for now.

The scenes from the footage was upbeat with an '80s high school feel. Fans were shown Peter Parker, played by actor Tom Holland, in class and not paying attention. Parker is busy watching a YouTube video in his laptop, with the video being the iconic airport scene from Captain America: Civil War - particularly the one where Spider-Man was going up against Giant Man.

Holland gave a few more details in an interview with io9 saying, Parker's act of watching himself as Spider-Man and being part of the grand superhero skirmish in Civil War on YouTube is not based on narcissism. Paraphrasing his sentiments, Holland likened the situation with being on holiday and coming home, you feel like you would want another holiday, and just simply watch a video or view a photo to re-live it. This was all that Holland can state without spoiling anything for fans. Holland also said that about a year ago, he sat sat down with director Jon Watts, and the film maker asked him what he wanted to do, to which he replied that he would want to make a film that is built on reality.

The story would be about a high school student and what that student's reaction would be if he was given super powers - how he would act upon everyday situations, which for Holland, the trailer clearly depicts this, and demonstrates Watt's vision with Holland behind it 100%, Holland added.

Sony and Marvel's Spider-Man: Homecoming will be swinging its way into movie theaters on July 7, 2017.
