In a previous report, there were three contenders for the role of Iris West. Finally, Warner Bros. has made a decision. Kiersey Clemons joins "The Flash" cast, and she will portray the role of Barry Allen/The Flash's (Ezra Miller) love interest, Iris West.

The studio was eyeing three actresses, and among them were Clemons, Rita Ora, and Lucy Boynton. "Dope" actress has been the top choice, according to the insider of Variety.

Originally, Seth Grahame-Smith was set to helm "The Flash" movie, however, due to creative differences, he left the productions, and replaced by "Dope" helmer Rick Famuyiwa. Some reports suggest that filming will start this year. The studio keeps Smith's recent draft of the script, which said based on a treatment by Chris Miller and Phil Lord.

Clemons' has started to become popular since she starred in "Dope." She also starred as one of Chloe Moretz's sorority sisters in "Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising."

Ezra Miller has been long attached for the title character, and now another confirmed actress will join the cast. As of now, the production hasn't announced who are the actors will take the roles of Fred Chyre, Len Snart, Eobard Thawne, and Jay Garrick.

Miller's The Flash was first introduced in a "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice." On Saturday, July 23, The Flash appears on the first trailer of "Justice League." Aside from "Justice League," "Wonder Woman" first trailer was also released.

There is a rumor that Cyborg will team up with Barry Allen, according to Movie Web. "The Flash" movie will start filming after "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" star Miller finishes production on "Justice League Part," under the direction of Zack Snyder.

"The Flash" movie is set for March 16, 2018. "Justice League" release date is set for November 17, 2017 and "Aquaman" is set for July 27, 2018.
