Marvel Cinematic Universe became more diverse with the addition of more superheroes and characters.
The rumors saying that Brie Larson will be playing the favorite superhero of Marvel Studios, which have been circulating over the past month, has been confirmed in the San Diego Comic-Con. Larson will play as Carol Danvers also known as Captain Marvel in the new Marvel film. The role was announced on Saturday, July 23rd, in the San Diego Comic-Con, The Mary Sue reported.
In addition, there were also announcement for the cast of the upcoming Marvel movies, "Black Panther", "Spider-Man: Homecoming", "Doctor Strange", and "Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2".
"Captain Marvel" will hit the big screen on 8 March 2019 and it will be the first female superhero project of Marvel. "Black Panther" will be in theatres 16 February 2018 which will focus on the clack superhero that is played by Chadwick Boseman. "Spider-Man: Homecoming" featuring Tom Holland will be launched on 7 July 2017.
The upcoming films represents diversity in cinema which is the crucial part: that the heroes represent the real world which includes different people and different gender, says Chiwetel Ejiofor. Ejiofor played the role of Mordo who is the enemy of Sorcerer Supreme which is played by Benedict Cumberbatch in "Doctor Strange" which will hit the cinemas in November 4, USA Today reported.
Carol Danvers also known as Captain Marvel is a soldier that turned in a heroine and Larson takes to heart the importance of the role played by the character, according to the president of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige.
Ryan Coogler, the director of "Black Panther", has included talented casts to play in Boseman's African warrior movie. Michael B. Jordan will play as Erik Killmonger,while Nakia will be played by Lupita Nyong'o; Okoye, the head of the female warriors of Dora Milaje will be played by Danai Gurira.
The diversity and the addition of women roles also empowered and inspired Zoe Saldana who played the role of Gamora in "Guardians of the Galaxy". The volume 2 of the movie will air on 5 May 2017.
