During the "Star Wars Celebration" in London last Friday, actress Gwendoline Christie pays tribute to the victims of the attack on Nice, France on Bastille Day last week.

The "Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens" actress, Christie took a moment from their panel at the convention to express her sympathies to those affected of the recent attack and called on a moment of silence in tribute, Entertainment Weekly reported.

Christie was part of the "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" panel, and initiated the tribute. The actress stated that it was somewhat difficult to celebrate during the "Star Wars Celebration," and had deemed it necessary to pay tribute to the victims and their families.

The Star Wars actress led the crowd in a moment of silence, before of which she had expressed her sympathies, and took it upon herself to express on behalf of everyone in attendance that their "hearts go out" to the people of Nice, as well as France altogether, USA Today reported.

Following the moment of silence, Christie was about to continue and start the panel along, but it was then the crowd sang a rendition of France's national anthem, "La Marseillaise."

It was reported that the entire tribute was enough to move people to tears, which then eventually ended with a huge applause.

Christie expressed her gratitude to those in attendance, as well as the event organizers for picking her to moderate the panel in a tweet after the event, according to Entertainment Tonight.

The "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" panel revealed new footage from the new film, as well as treated the fans in attendance to an "exclusive" trailer. Unfortunately, during the live stream, the online audience were shown a behind the scenes footage instead, which was different from what was shown during the event.

"Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" is set to premiere on December 16, 2016. Watch the "Celebration Reel" below:
