Healthy news for US mobile users, as now Google is slowly rolling out Google symptom search feature. Teaming up with Mayo Clinic and Harvard Medical, Google plans to give users more detail and accurate health claims.

Google symptom search results are reviewed by experts from Mayo Clinic and Harvard Medical School

Symptom is one of the most researched topics that users often Google. The idea to make the information 'as accurate as possible' can only be done by developing list of symptoms and let experts crosscheck them. This means, 'real and breathing doctors' will back the diagnosis evidence so users can decide if they should see a doctor, Tech Portal reported.

The feature is a great help to provide details on a particular health condition. Behind the scene, experts from Harvard Med School and Mayo Clinic evaluated the conditions to improve the result lists. For instance, when user types 'headache', a list of descriptions will show up and there are treatment options so user can opt for self-diagnosis with the in-depth research. Hence, Google symptom search can help a person to decide if their sickness is a mild condition or they should seek further treatments from a specialist, The Verge reported.

Google symptom search will be available in desktop

WebMD has offered symptom checker app and people turn to these specific medical sites to opt for answers. With the Google's new feature, users can have 'medical cards' that they can swipe up and down to find more information.

For all this time, people turn to doctors for definitive answers but some of us actually Google the issue first before we make an appointment. However, so far the plethora of information on 'headache' alone can be confusing. With Google Symptom Search, people are able to get science-backed, more accurate descriptions.
