"Dead Rising 4" release date has finally been confirmed by Microsoft, amid uncertainty after the company's online store displayed the pricing and launch date.

Prior to any confirmation from Microsoft, the launch date for "Dead Rising 4" was posted on the game's Microsoft Store page, as well as on the Xbox Store, PC Gamer reported.

During Microsoft's E3 press conference, the game publishers revealed a relatively peculiar festive themed trailer for the open-world survival horror game. Microsoft teased those in attendance that the game will come out during the "holiday season" of 2016, but did not explain any further.

But as recent events have presented themselves, the aforementioned online stores have listed the game launch on December 6 of this year, along with the price listed at $59.99.

This had made fans of the franchise speculate whether the date was set, as the date was briefly pulled off the online stores and displayed "coming soon," but Microsoft had finally come out and confirmed the release date of "Dead Rising 4" as December 6, according to IGN.

Gamers whom have attended Microsoft's showcase event at E3 2016 have been treated to an early glimpse of the game with an early gameplay reveal on Xbox One.

"Dead Rising 4" once again features main character Frank West, battle-ready to mutilate hordes after hordes of zombies, as the game has been known to offer. The place was set in Willamette, Colorado with Frank West having multiple weapons to choose from, EuroGamer reported.

In addition to the old features of the game, critics have stated that the game was a lot smoother that the previous game, with the controls of the game is now more intuitive. "Dead Rising 3" on the Xbox One suffered heavily from technical issues.

"Dead Rising 4" also features another perspective for gamers, as the game allows Frank West to take selfies. The added feature allow gamers to pull faces before pressing the shutter.
