Sony had confirmed that "Crash Bandicoot" games will get a remastered collection for the PlayStation 4, which is set to be released in 2017.

Shawn Layden, chairman at Sony Interactive Entertainment, announced at E3 2016 that "Crash Bandicoot" is set to return to the PS4 in the form of a remastered collection, which will be launched by next year, Kotaku reported

The remastered collection would include the titles "Crash Bandicoot," "Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back," and "Crash Bandicoot: Warped," with Activision Studios' Vicarious Visions set to develop.

The "Crash Bandicoot" character is also set to appear on the PS4 platform this October, prior to its' games release in 2017, with its inclusion in the "Skylanders Imaginators" game. The studios have yet to release the initial screenshots or footage of the gameplay, but has released an official reveal trailer for the character's PS4 debut.

Vicarious Visions' "Skylanders Imaginators" features the beloved bandicoot character in its starter pack, which is reported to be launched on October 16 in North America, according to PlayStation Lifestyle.

The character will be featured in the "Skylanders Imaginators" starter pack, which would be far off being just a mere cameo. The developers had confirmed that players would be able to control the vintage character; reliving its old gameplay, with its familiar TNT crates, rocket launchers, as well as its classic spinning attack.

The developers have also stated that voice actor, Jess Harnell, is also set to reprise his role as "Crash Bandicoot" for all the anticipated games, as stated in a blog post by Activision.

The "Crash Bandicoot" remastered collection is expected to come to the platform in 2017, but Sony has yet to disclose further details regarding its release date.

But fans are treated with an early feature of the character this October with "Skylanders Imaginators," which will be released first on the PS4, then on the PS3, as well.
