Microsoft will be skipping their highly successful one-tablet-release per year. Instead, they will release the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 and Surface Book 2 in 2017.

There is not much info about Surface Book 2 except that it will feature the new Intel Skylake processors. It is also rumored to come with a rechargeable stylus and it will run the Windows 10 update, Redstone 2,  YIBADA reported.

The Surface Book 2 is said to be released by the end of the year 2017. The first Surface Book 2-in-1 was released in October 2015 and Microsoft called it the 'ultimate laptop'. Despite its long list of hardware specs which include a detachable screen and Surface Pen support, it earned a lot of complaints. There are complaints around the "Dynamic Fulcrum Hinge" which includes a gap formed when the laptop is closed. Also, consumer complains about the Clipboard tablet having low battery life, Neurogadget reported.

The Microsoft Surface Pro series was called 'the laptop killing tablet' by Techradar. Microsoft Surface Pro 5 was first to be released in late 2016 but latest reports says it will be launched in spring of 2017. According to Neurogadget, it will most likely be the combination of Intel Kabylake, Nvidia Pascal, and AMD Polaris. It was also reported to run the Redstone 2 update of Windows 10.

Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will feature up to 7 hours of battery life, according to reports. It also comes with a rechargeable Surface Pen stylus with type-C USB and charging terminals. It will also sport a 4K 13.3 inch display. Recent leaks says that the tablet will have 16 GB RAM.

There are reports that all x86 PC game will gain support for the Microsoft's Xbox Live application. This will draw the gaming community especially because Surface Book has even better graphics card. 

However, there is no official statement released by Microsoft regarding the launching of Microsoft Surface Pro 5 and Surface Book 2.
