David Barton said on a radio program that his critics are a part of a collective effort to destroy America's identity. 

Over the weekend, right-wing pseudo-historian David Barton was heard on the radio program "The Patriot and the Preacher" where he said that those historians who criticized his work do so because of their hatred to America.David Barton spent several minutes barking about President Obama who supposedly apologized to Japan for the use of atomic weapons during World War II but the President did nothing of sort. He added, that it was all a part of a plan to "tear America down, "Right-wing Watch learned.

 'The political elites and academic community are determined to tear America down so they can remake it a part of a global thing... that we can be like Europe, Australia, the Netherlands and the rest of the world', according to Barton. He added that their [the academic critics] objective is to erase America's independent, distinct identity and that we should all be part of the community of nations, Right Wing Watch reported.

Barton also emphasized that it was a large issue in terms of academics. Two years ago, Barton made a comment about American exceptionalism in a book he wrote which, according to Barton 'is something that we believed in since Alexis de Tocqueville gave us that terminology in 1831.

"I cannot tell you how many academics came out and attacked me", says Barton. The critics told him, 'How brave are you to say that America is a special nation, how dare you say that America has done anything right' He also said that the educational village is phobic over this thing and that Obama was a law professor at the University of Illinois in Chicago.  

David Barton said,"The academic community is afraid of this thing and they hate America with a virility that the rest of us can't understand.So, that's part of the deconstruction happening in America right now".
