Huawei has taken the wraps off the Honor 5A smartphone in China as scheduled. Steered at youth, the all-new Honor smartphone is slated to go on sale in China starting Friday, June 17.

The upcoming Honor smartphone will be available in two variants: While the standard version will be priced at CNY 699 (about $104), the other version will be up for grabs for CNY 799 (about $119) and will support Unicom networks and China Telecom. Those interested in buying the phone in China, can buy it via Huawei's official online store, Vmall.

Until now, there are no details available regarding the smartphone's global availability.

The Honor 5A boasts a 5.5-inch HD, 720 pixels x 1280 pixels, IPS display with an impressive pixel density of 267 ppi (pixel per inch). The dual-SIM Honor 5A not only supports Micro-SIM cards but also offers 4G LTE connectivity on both the SIM cards. The Chinese tech firm tipped off that the device also supports VoLTE (voice over LTE). Powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor clocked at 1.2GHz, paired with 2GB of RAM, Honor 5A is equipped with 16GB of storage, which can be further expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. The smartphone's rear panel boasts a textured design, NDTV Gadgets reported.

As far as camera is concerned, the device comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera augmented with an f/2.0 aperture and an 8-megapixel front snapper with f/2.0 aperture and 4P lens.

Honor 5A packs a 3,100mAh battery that keeps the lights on up to 28 hours and delivers a standby time of up to 28 hours. The device measures 154.3×77.1×8.45mm and weighs 168g, GSM Arena reported.

Aside from 4g, Honor 5A supports a slew of other connectivity options including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Glonass, GPS/ A-GPS, 3G, and GPRS/ EDGE. The device features a classic Micro-USB charging port. The smartphone runs Emotion UI 4.1 hinged on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
