Here's a good news for those looking for latest tech in a smartphone without burning a hole in their pocket. Huawei has taken the wraps off the Honor V8 flagship  and its nothing short of magnificent.

Honor V8 brings an array of awe-inspiring features including the top-end Kiring 950 chipset, and the dual-camera arrangement rearward to the Honor sub brand.

The Honor V8 boasts a stunning 5.7-inch display and gives consumers a choice between FullHD and QHD resolution. Huawei finally opted to go beyond 1080p. Both variants will feature a 2.5D glass on top and will use IPS panels.

The aforementioned Kirin 950 chip features an octa-core CPU (4xCortex-A72 + 4xCortex-A53 clusters). The QHD display is combined with 64GB of storage, while RAM is set at 4GB, the FullHD version gets half that.

No doubt, dual cameras are the new best things for cameras in smartphones, and Honor is imitating the camera design on the Huawei P9, reports The Verge. The Huawei Honor V8 sports a 12-megapixel primary camera on the back and a 8-megapixel front camera for selfie addicts.

This is a good move as far as consumers looking for the latest tech in affordable devices are concerned. Buyers can not only get the Honor V8 without burning a hole in their pockets, but they also get to choose from platinum gold, rose gold, glacier silver, and champagne gold.

Powered by a 3500mAh non removable battery, the Huawei Honor V8 measures 157.00 (height) x 77.60 (width) x 7.75 (thickness). The dual SIM (GSM and GSM) phone weighs 170.00 grams and accepts two Nano-SIM, according to reports on NDTV.

As far as connectivity is concerned, the Huawei Honor V8 includes Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, 3G, and 4G. Sensors on the phone encompass Gyroscope, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor and Proximity sensor.

The Honor V8 hit the markets in China on Tuesday, May 10. While the 32GB version is available for $352, the 64GB variation is available for $429 on JD.com
