The whole music industry is grieving due to the loss of yet another golden talent, Prince Nelson Rogers. MTV has suspended its regular programs to honor the 57-year old's rock icon's death. 

Prince's  was found unresponsive in an elevator at his home in Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota,Thursday morning. After receiving a 911 call, paramedics came to the scene as quickly as they can . They did their best to revive the icon but soon proclaimed him dead at 10 am,  Jim Olsen, Carver County Sheriff explained.

Prince Nelson Rogers was a revolutionary singer/song writer/artist who has made more hits than any other artist in the industry. His name was included in the list of music legends like Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley.

The seven-time Grammy Awards winner was born on June 7, 1958 at Minneapolis and was signed with Warner Bros. Records during his teen-age years. Following this, he released his debut album 'For You' in 1978.

Prince's music career wastagged with many controversies due to the unconventional messages and sexual contents of his songs which were very prominent in his albums "Dirty Mind" and "Controversy." The albums debuted on 1980 and 1981. 

In an article posted at TVline.com, MTV network said in a statement, MTV is saddened and still in shock about the news that the world lost the legendary Prince Rogers Nelson so early and soon. The network sees him as a "once in a lifetime artist. He has transcended every single genre and musc with creativity, individuality and passion,

Prince,  indeed carved his name within the music spectrum. He had definitely inspired many of today's music royalties and was one of the few people, who can definitely be called a true music genius.

The network will be showing "Purple Rain,"  a story of a struggling Minneapolis musician starring Prince. It was in this Film that Prince won an Academy award for original music score. 

In an Interview with CNN, Michaela Angela Davis staid that, "The most prolific thing to me about Prince was not only was he the most vibrant example of black genius that I have ever seen, but he was able to negotiate God and sex in his subject matter in a way that we had never seen before."

"Every song was either a prayer or foreplay. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family, friends and millions of fans." Says MTV.
