There is still no telling just how costly Trevone Boykin's arrest will be when it comes to his potential future in the NFL, but he is willing to do anything he can to keep it alive.

Boykin told The Associated Press he plans to attend the NFL Draft Scouting Combine in Indianapolis later this month and will do "every drill." Quarterbacks, wide receivers, and tight ends drills are scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 27.

"I'm looking forward to going to Indy and fully participating in every drill," he said. "And to show that I can play quarterback and that this one mistake doesn't define me."

In addition to rehabbing his image after his New Years arrest for punching a police officer, Boykin is also trying to prove himself as a QB. He told the AP he only plans to work out at the Combine at the position he played the most at TCU.

It is unclear if he would consider a switch to wide receiver, the position he originally played at TCU, somewhere down the road. Even before his arrest, CBS Sports noted, Boykin was not among many draft analysts' top QBs, though the Combine is typically where lower-rated players can climb teams' draft boards.

One major hurdle Boykin faces is answering questions about what led to his arrest on felony assault charges. Though it appears he punched a police officer while swinging blindly, he was still out after his team's curfew and engaged in a bar fight that led to law enforcement arriving at the scene.

"But it's a mistake that I made in my life that I know I can overcome," Boykin told The AP. "Right now, I'm just thinking positive and trying to move forward."
