Microsoft Surface Pro 5 To Launch In Microsoft's October Event To Compete Directly With Samsung Galaxy Book [VIDEO]

By

The Microsoft company is reportedly gearing up to launch the successor of Surface Pro 4, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5. The tech giant is expected to announce the highly anticipated Surface Pro 5 at its October event and the device will compete directly with the Samsung Galaxy Book.

After Microsoft released the Surface Studio last year, tech fans are hoping that the tech company would unveil the 2-in1 device. Then, Surface patrons anticipated an unveiling or at the very least an update of the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 during the MWC 2017 event, but that didn't happen. Now, the company is expected to announce the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 in October, according to Market Exclusive.

Meanwhile, the Surface Pro 4 price cut is also a good indication that the tech giant is already planning to unleash the Microsoft Surface Pro 5. The current price for the Surface Pro 4 has been reduced to £609 ($742), from the price tag of £749 or $913. Although it has already been more than a year since the tech monster updated its Surface Pro lineup, waiting for a while before launching the Surface Pro 5 might turn out to be a good decision for Microsoft.

In spite of that, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is said to roll out with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 635 chipset instead of Intel's Kaby Lake processors, that would extend the 2-in1 hybrid's battery life, PC Advisor reported. The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is likely to be available with a 16GB of RAM, coupled with a 512GB of internal storage. The upcoming Microsoft laptop/tablet is also speculated to boast a rechargeable Surface Pen.

Furthermore, the upcoming Microsoft Surface Pro 5 might come along with a 12.3-inch Ultra HD/4K displays, as well as a USB Type-C support and a robust battery. The tablet PC is anticipated to have a starting price at $899.
