The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is one of the highly-anticipated gadgets for 2017. Microsoft's 2-in-1 device is expected to roll out with Windows 10 Creators Update, which is slated for April 2017. Nonetheless, one reason dished on the delay of the device was the availability of the Intel Kaby Lake processor.

As the Intel Kaby Lake chipset is deemed as a major factor for the delay of the Microsoft Surface Pro 5, the Redmond, Washington based tech giant barely has enough reason to delay the upcoming tablet installment. It has been said that the tech company has the laptop ready and all that remains is the missing Intel chipset. On the contrary, many are under the impression that the tech giant could actually be waiting for the Windows 10 Creators Update to launch before it unleashes the Microsoft Surface Pro 5, PC Advisor reported.

Nevertheless, the Intel Kaby Lake chipset in Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will be allegedly coupled with a 16GB of RAM. The Windows 10 operating system of the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is expected be working flawlessly with an equally competent processor. Furthermore, Microsoft's upcoming 2-in-1 gadget could also come with a cover keyboard, surface dial, and a stylus.

In January last year, the tech giant applied for a patent for a rechargeable Surface Pen and a Surface Dock, according to Patently Mobile. The AAA battery of the Surface Pen may be replaced with a rechargeable battery, with a functionality that resembles to iPad Pro's Apple Pen. Aside from that, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is speculated to boast a 4K detachable screen. A couple of other specs that are likely to give Microsoft's upcoming device an edge over its rivals will be the Surface Dial and the HoloLens support.

In spite of that, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is expected to outperform the iPad Pro 2. The Surface Pro 5 can be used either as a tablet or a laptop, while tech fans can only use Apple's iPad Pro 2 as a tablet.
