The North Carolina Tar Heels bounced back from their upset loss to Northern Iowa, and they will have to keep up their effort against a Texas Longhorns squad with a win streak of their own.

North Carolina is favored by a -6 spread.

The Associated Press' top preseason team, North Carolina is 7-1, and sits a half-game behind Duke, Miami, and Virginia for the ACC lead. However, the Tar Heels play none of those teams until the final stretch of their schedule.

At 5-3, Texas is toward the bottom of the Big 12 in Shaka Smart's first season, but the Longhorns are not far off Iowa State and Oklahoma's pace. After getting off to a 2-3 start, Texas has strung together three in a row, including a 119-point output against Texas - San Antonio.

"I think it would be nice to have a win (Saturday) for a lot of reasons, playing one of the best teams in the country, one of the best programs in the country," Smart said in his pregame press conference, according to The AP. "What a win like this would do is build a lot of confidence."
