ACC Championship Game 2015 Live Radio Broadcast, Preview: North Carolina vs Clemson

By

Undefeated and nationally ranked first in the nation, the Clemson Tigers (1) have the simplest path to the College Football Playoff (CFP): win and get in.

The North Carolina Tar Heels (10) cannot say the same; not even winning the ACC title game would guarantee them a spot. North Carolina is 8-0 against the ACC, and has not lost since week one, but the Tar Heels are an example of what can be hidden in a win-loss record.

North Carolina's lone loss is to South Carolina, a team that finished last in the SEC East at 3-9 overall and 1-7 against conference foes. After the loss, North Carolina won two of its next three games against FCS teams en route to a 10-game win streak.

But that does not mean Clemson will be able to coast to a conference championship. North Carolina is averaging 229.7 rushing yards and 41.3 points per game, both among the 20 best figures in the nation. Clemson, on the other hand, is statistically one of the toughest defenses to move the ball on.

"This is best football team we've have faced," North Carolina head coach Larry Fedora said in his weekly press conference, according to The Associated Press. "I mean, they're the No. 1 team in the country. And they've been that way for how many weeks? So they're really good."
