Google Pixel 2 Update: Google Pixel 2 With Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Processor Will Be Unveiled In October 2017 [VIDEO]

Google has not yet announced anything about the specs, price, features or release date of the highly anticipated Google Pixel 2 Android smartphone. Fortunately, the only thing Google has confirmed is that the second generation Pixel smartphone will surely be launching this year. The Google Pixel 2 could feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 processor.

The Google Pixel 2 will be the most anticipated handset in 2017, which is expected to be released in October 2017. The next-gen Pixel is said to come along with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor just like Samsung Galaxy S8 and Xiaomi Mi6 smartphone. Google's head of Hardware Division, Rick Osterloh, claimed that the Google Pixel successor is surely in the works, Learn Bonds reported.

Google Pixel 2's possible specs include an Adreno 540 GPU clocked at least 670 MHz, 6GB of RAM, an almost bezel-less curved OLED display, X16 mobile LTE modem chip, an IP68 rating and an Android O out of the box. Aside from Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 835 Pro SoC processor, the Google Pixel 2 is said to feature Qualcomm's QuickCharge 3.0 with USB-C. Nevertheless, it remains unclear if Google's next flagship smartphone will be available with a 3.5mm headphone jack or not, Android Headlines reported.

In terms of camera, the existing Pixel smartphones are available with the best handset cameras ever made. Thus, the Google Pixel 2 and Google Pixel 2 XL smartphones are expected to boast a more advanced camera that will further enhance the picture quality. The upcoming Google Pixel 2 and Google Pixel 2 XL smartphones are expected to be manufactured by HTC that has acquired a two-year manufacturing deal for the Pixel handsets.

The price of the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL smartphones is not revealed yet. In spite of that, such feature on Google's upcoming flagship smartphone would allow the device to further compete with its biggest rivals.
