PlayStation 4 Better Console Than Xbox, Wii

By

TechRadar readers have voted the PlayStation 4 as the better console compared to Xbox and Wii. The gap between these consoles are growing larger and larger, especially with the release of more PS4 titles in the coming months.

The PlayStation 4 power comes from its amazing rig, which is provided for by the technology developed by AMD. Even the most graphically demanding game can be played with ease. Though the Xbox also has good specs for gaming, the clincher is the roster of games released, which really determined the favorite console of gamers today.

The massive support for the PlayStation 4 came from the impeccable line-up of AAA games that were recently released. Games like Bloodborne, Uncharted 4, The last of us and the PlayStation VR have supported the game console's popularity. Since its founding in the early 90s, the PlayStation brand has continually dominated the gaming world.

The immense market Sony has in Japan and in neighboring Asian countries is already a massive pool for profit. Added to this major advantage is the limitless creativity of game developers that favor PlayStation 4 and the interest in Western countries, making the brand a force to be reckoned with.

Game critics like TechRadar point out that unlike the PlayStation 4, which embraces indie games and openness, Xbox seems to continue maintaining its "DRM wall," focusing on exclusivity more than ever. The Wii, on the other hand was totally eclipsed by the collision of the two giants in gaming consoles, but still manages to hold its own. Nintendo conitnues hang on to their know-hows and have gained momentum, though slightly on the release of Switch in tandem with the company's most successful RPG title, Zelda.

According to Forbes, Xbox and the Wii are clearly trailing behind the lightning pace of the PlayStation 4 but it doesn't mean that Microsoft and Nintendo are no longer in the race. These devices are powerful enough to play demanding games, but the only thing needed are great games that will lure gamers all over the world, and at the moment, PlayStation 4 has done the best enticing campaign to date.
