The 2018 Audi S5 and A5 Sportbacks retail at a cheaper price compared to the coupe variant. Apparently, they retail for at least $200 less.

While it is not a massive price cut, the Audi S5 and A5 Sportbacks are still high-end cars offered for a more affordable price. On a different note, it is called the Sportback probably because the rear end appears to be sporty. Below are the vehicles' full features and prices.

2018 Audi S5: Sexier model

According to Auto Week, the 2018 Audi S5 Sportback has a base price of $55,375 including destination fee. It is the lowest figure so far for Audi's S5 series. Reportedly, it skips the Premium trim and starts at Premium Plus.

In that case, the Prestige trim of the 2018 Audi S5 Sportback sells for $59,975. It boasts a whopping $7,900 markdown compared to its convertible cousin. For one thing, it offers 369 pound-feet of torque that connects to an eight-speed automatic transition.

Meanwhile, the 2018 Audi S5 Sportback powers through a 3.0-liter V6 engine that produces 354 horsepower. Its all-wheel drive has been standard while its sprint time is already death-defying at 4.5 seconds. Both leather and Alcantara interiors cover the high-end vehicle.

On the other hand, the shoulder line of the 2018 Audi S5 is more visible. The aluminum side mirror housing is also unique to its model. Other specifications include LED headlights, heated front seats, 19-inch wheels, and a three-zone auto climate control. It is expected to debut at the LA Auto Show in November.

A5 Sportback is $200 cheaper than the coupe

The new A5 Sportback is $200 dearer than the two-door coupe. It starts at $42,600 for the Premium trim. According to CNET, the car runs a turbocharged 2.0-liter I4 engine that provides 252 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque. For the record, the A5 convertible retails for $49,600.

Moving up to the Premium Plus, the A5 Sportback sells for $46,775. Then again, the coupe variant is $200 pricier. Lastly, the A5 Prestige trim retails for $51,375.

Audi sells fewer coupe models than other variants so it is only appropriate for them to buff up the price. Previous sales records also indicate that consumers are willing to pay more for the coupe. Both the 2018 Audi S5 and A5 Sportbacks would hit the market this year.
