'Star Wars: Episode 8' Spoilers: Rey's Arm Will Be Chopped Off, Just Like A True Skywalker [VIDEO]

By

Remember how Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker lost their right hands in the previous "Star Wars" movies? It seems like another Jedi, or soon-to-be Jedi, will have the same fate, according to recently surfaced "Star Wars: Episode 8" spoilers.

These "Star Wars: Episode 8" spoilers were derived from taking a closer look at Rey's official image from "The Last Jedi." According to Express UK, it was already speculated that Rey (portrayed by Daisy Ridley) is a Skywalker when Luke's lightsaber responded to her instead of Kylo Ren at the end of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." It can also be recalled that the said lightsaber basically has Skywalker history written all over it - with Anakin Skywalker, now Darth Vader, being the first one to use it. The mentioned image released just a few days ago - where the aspiring Jedi is shown to hold the "iconic blue lightsaber" - seems to further confirm that Rey is, in fact, a Skywalker.

Further adding to speculations on Rey's heritage was another report from the same publication, where it's mentioned that both Anakin and Luke lost their right hands while using the said lightsaber. Aside from that, both lost their hands during the second films of previous "Star Wars" trilogies - specifically in "Empire Strikes Back" and in "Attack of the Clones." Since Rey is shown holding the "iconic blue lightsaber" in the upcoming (and yes, second) film of the ongoing "Star Wars" trilogy, anyone can take a guess on what's next for her. Still, everyone will have to see this year's highly anticipated movie to confirm all these.

Directed by Rian Johnson and produced by Lucasfilm and Walt Disney Studios, "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" is set to be released this December - starring Mark Hamill, the late Carrie Fisher, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong'o, and more.
