Trump the Twittering President Carries Risks: Hackers, Protesters, Conflict of Interests, And More

By

President Donald Trump is an avid twitter and even after acquiring his seat in the most powerful office, he refuses to let go of his habit. While common sense should dictate that it poses risks, it seems that President is unaware or just doesn't care. So what are the risks that his twitting habits bring and how will it affect his presidency?

Trump's Tweeting Spells More Than 140 Characters Of Disaster

According to those who claim to know it better, Trump's twitting habits would spell disaster not only in his career as POTUS. It transcends beyond the walls of his office, endangers his life, and will affect foreign policies as well. Moreover, because he is unrestrained when he types 140 characters to further policy agenda, it heightens a series of risks, Tech Crunch reported.

  • Massive Magnet for Hackers. While the official POTUS account is hard to crack given the layers of security to ensure its safety, Trump's personal Twitter account is not. He has never improved on his grasp on cybersecurity nor does his team seems well equipped. One hacker already puts on a bet of his weaker Twitter account especially now that he became a better target.
Moreover, Trump uses his unsecured and old Android phone to tweet, which causes a concern not only for his exposure but also for national security, The New York Times reported.
  • Conflicts of Interest. Trump did not put his business empire in a blind asset as suggested. Instead, he passed it on to his eldest sons. His spontaneous and unrestrained twitting habit has bolstered his stock values and toppled the competitors' before. As POTUS his habit could also give rise to numerous legal liabilities.
  • Defamation. Speaking of legal liabilities, Twitter is a solid ground to launch legal actions such as defamation to which President Donald Trump is very fluent at. If he goes beyond the borders of just expressing an opinion and says wrong things to malign people, then he will find himself in hot waters.

  • Defying Diplomatic Protocol. Trump went to Twitter to attack China too. His style is certainly interesting as no other US president has done it before. But it defies diplomatic protocols and things might escalate, which will result to conflict between two great nations in the future. There's a reason why presidents speak in a formal manner, but Trump defies that to express his opinions.

Twitter and Trump Aides Abstained from Commenting

Neither Twitter nor any one from his team has responded to the questions about the president's twitting habits. Numerous news agencies have already reached out to the new administration as a response to the growing concern from the public. And the worry rose from both supporters and non-supporters alike.

People are on the edge because of his provocative and taunting habit. Some people are saying that the least Trump can do to protect the US from his twitting habits is to use a secure device to thwart foreign spies and whatnot.
