Scarlett Johansson splits from Romain Dauriac, her husband of two years and father of her 2-year old daughter, Rose. An alleged source from the inner circle of the French journalist said that the two were never "equals" and that the split was not a surprise.

Johansson-Dauriac split began last summer, but was confirmed only recently. Johansson has hired famous divorce lawyer Laura Wasser to represent her.

Wasser also represented Johansson's ex-husband, Ryan Reynolds, to whom she was married for two years from 2008 to 2011. Reynolds is now married to Blake Lively with whom he has two children.

Johansson married Dauriac in October 2014 after almost a year of engagement. The two confirmed their relationship when they were spotted on a date in New York City in October 2012. They then got engaged in September 2013.

Though Dauriac barely spoke to her in English when they met, Johansson said it was the "language of love" that made their relationship prosper. The actress also found Dauric charming and intelligent.

Shortly after welcoming their child Rose, Johansson and Dauriac were secretly wed at Rock Creek in Philipsburg, Montane. The couple has always been media-shy and has kept their personal affairs private. Hence, neither party is offering any official statement about their separation.

But a source close to Dauriac told People Magazine that the Johansson-Dauriac split was something that's bound to happen. The two were from different worlds with Dauriac even admitting that he has not seen much of Johnasson's work.

The Johansson-Dauriac split is now official as the actress has been spotted without a wedding ring during the Women's March on Washington, US Magazine reported. She made an appeal to President Donald Trump to give her daughter the right to her body and future, rights enjoyed by the presidential daughter, Ivanka Trump.

Though separated, Johansson and Dauriac are still business partners with a newly opened Yummy Pop popcorn store in Paris. The couple was still photographed together at the opening party of their new business last December.
