By

When "John Wick: Chapter 2" opens in theaters on February 10, 2017, it is going to face stiff competition in the form of Fifty Shades Darker and The LEGO Batman Movie. All three movies are sequels and while John Wick opened to $14.4 million back in 2014, the predecessors of the other two movies opened to better numbers. Fifty Shades of Grey raked in $85.1 million back in February of 2015 while The LEGO Movie got $69 million in February, 2014.

According to Movie Web, it was no surprise that "John Wick: Chapter 2" was made considering the first one earned $43 million locally and $86 million worldwide. The numbers are not that impressive from the sound of it but when it was made for just a $20 million budget then it exceeded expectations.

Lionsgate is expecting the sequel to do so good that they already asked director Chad Stahelski to come up with ideas for "John Wick 3" despite the opening of the second stallment still a couple of weeks away. He revealed that Charon and Winston will be up for bigger roles in the third installment of the franchise.

According to Gamespot, Lionsgate has released a new TV spot for "John Wick: Chapter 2" and it is awesome with Wick vowing to kill everyone who is after him. In the description of the trailer, Wick is now against a former associate trying to seize control of an assassins group so he travels to Rome to go up against other hired killers.

"John Wick: Chapter 2" stars Ruby Rose as Ares, Ian McShane as Winston, Keanu Reeves as John Wick, Bridget Moynahan as Helen Wick, John Leguizamo as Aurelio, Laurence Fishburne as The Bowery King, David Patrick Kelly as Charlie and Lance Reddick as Charon.
