The return of the "Eccentric Family" has been previously confirmed and the fans have been waiting for the announcement of the air date, the cast members, and most importantly, about what they are to expect. Now, the "Eccentric Family 2" has got an exact date of release. Read the details here.

At the 17th Japan Media Arts Festival Awards back in 2013, the first season of the "Eccentric Family" has had won Excellence Award. Having won the prestigious award is a foolproof that the said anime series has so much to offer to their fans. No wonder fans are so eager to hear any news about the "Eccentric Family 2." Fortunately, the developer of the said anime has already announced who the cast members will be along with the returning main staff and the air date.

P.A. Works will still work on the "Eccentric Family 2" and will be directed by Masayuki Yoshihara alongside Kasouke Kawazura, animation director with Yasuke Takeda and Harumi Okamoto, the art directors. As previously reported by Anime News Network, the main staff from the first season will be returning together with the main cast which include:

• Takahiro Sakurai (Yasaburō Shimogamo), the family's third son
• Junichi Suwabe (Yaichirō Shimogamo), the family's eldest son
• Hiroyuki Yoshino (Yajirō Shimogamo), the family's second son
• Mai Nakahara (Yashirō Shimogamo), the family's youngest son
• Mamiko Noto (Benten), the woman with a bewitching beauty

The "Eccentric Family 2" will be again thrown into chaos while trying to blend with human society according to Crunchyroll. After a century-long absence of the son of the Shimogamo family's friend, Professor Akadama, he will be back causing so much trouble to the tengu and tanuki group. The second season of the "Eccentric Family" has also listed few new characters which include the following:

• Junji Majima as Nadaime
• Yōko Hikasa as Gyokuran

• Yuichi Nakamura as Kureichiro Ebisugawa
• Bin Shemada as Tenmanya

The Japanese TV stations along with Tokyo MX and KBS Kyoto will start airing the "Eccentric Family 2" on April 9, 2017.
