OnePlus 5 Houses Snapdragon 835; Release Date Revealed Here [VIDEO]

By

Reports are circulating that the successor of the OnePlus 3 will roll out in 2017. However, the next smartphone will jump directly to OnePlus 5, will have a ceramic body, and will have the Snapdragon 835 processor.

OnePlus will bypass OnePlus 4 with its upcoming OnePlus 5 not because of a marketing strategy or technical problems, but because of superstition. OnePlus is based in China, and the number four is believed to be unlucky in the country, Phone Radar reported. BBK is the parent company of OnePlus and it also owns the Vivo company, which also went from launching its V3 model straight to its Vivo V5 model.

Other Chinese companies follow the tradition of skipping number 4 on their product since it is unlucky and it symbolizes death. Besides China, this tradition is also practiced in Korea and Japan.
