'The Elder Scrolls 6' News & Update: Analysts Predicting A 2017 Release Date, Bethesda Might Be Ready For 2017 Release Date

Close

Not much information is known about the sequel "The Elder Scrolls 6" and questions about the release date and gameplay remain unanswered. But the expectation is very high with some analysts believing that Bethesda's upcoming shooter game will bring a whole new kind of gaming experience. Others are predicting a 2017 target release date.

Currently, the company is focusing on the predecessor game, "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim." Bethesda's remastered version has come with lots of bugs and in great need of attention. Latest Patch 1.2 may have fixed the bugs though it remains to be seen if new bugs emerge in the coming weeks.

Fortunately, Bethesda marketing boss Pete Hines has announced that works on Elder Scrolls Online and "Skyrim Special Edition" wouldn't impact or hurt the development of the sequel "The Elder Scrolls 6."

Analyst Predicting A 2017 Release Date

According to Games Industry, Wedbush Securities tech analyst Michael Pachter is making a bold prediction, claiming that the next Elder Scrolls installment may come out next year and that developer Bethesda might be preparing now for the release.

Comparing Bethesda's situation with other developers, Pachter said that Valve Corporation's "Half-Life 3" will not coming out next year. Pachter bluntly disclosed his prediction, in his perspective, Bethesda can be ready and close to triumph, whereas Valve Corporation is not; regardless of the claims both developers may have.

The analyst also said that he wishes to be at least partially wrong in his gaming predictions, hoping for the better news instead.

Hines' recent announcement has not put off Michael Pachter's prediction about "The Elder Scrolls 6" release date. Hines had previously ruled out showing off "The Elder Scrolls 6" at the next two Gamescom events. Hines has also told fans that the Bethesda was still working on two big projects and that the sequel has not yet entered active development, meaning it still in the drawing table waiting for approval.

According to Express, Bethesda has been known in the tech circle when it comes to big surprises, so fans could expect something new from Bethesda and "The Elder Scrolls" series by next year.

Bethesda's upcoming open-world RPG "The Elder Scrolls 6" is expected to come out sometime in 2017.
