The shield has now been taken down as Huawei officially unveiled its concept phone Honor Magic. Truly a magical phone, it features trailblazing technology basing on what reviewers and tech bloggers have revealed of its specifications and features.

However, it still yet unclear whether it would bring magic to other markets since this phone for now is only slated to be sold in Huawei's home country China. It will be available from several retailers, though, including Vmall.com, JD, Tmall and Suning, Android Authority has learned.

The source added that standout features of Honor Magic is the artificial intelligence (AI) features of it including the WiseScreen sensor, which combines a sensor in its frame and an infrared sensor in the front-facing camera. With this feature, it will recognize the owner's hand and eyes when he picks up the phone, which then turns on the screen and turns off when the owner puts away the phone in a pocket.

Another feature is the FaceCode Intelligent Recognition, reports added that with this feature owners do not have to worry about anyone picking up the phone and seeing messages that they are not supposed to see as message notifications on the phone will only reveal themselves for pre-registered faces.

AI driven features will be experienced via Honor Magic Live. The company has released examples of how AI technology works on the phone and it is indeed magical just like recommending latest blockbusters when an owner is chatting about movies on Wechat, automatically recognizes when the owner is driving and immediately prompt a reminder to switch the device to driving mode, as well as giving the driver's plate information on the display under locked screen mode once the owner use Honor Magic to order a cab.

CNET has laid out Honor Magic specifications starting off with the phone having a 5-inch screen with 2,560x1140-pixel resolution, 12-megapixel dual-lens camera, 8-megapixel front-facing camera, Android 6.0 with Magic Live software layer, 2.3GHz octa-core Huawei Kirin processor, 2900 MmAh battery with quick charge: 70 percent charge in 20 minutes, and 64GB internal storage/ 4GB RAM. Buyers could also choose between colors Golden black and porcelain white.

Reviews claimed that with this remarkable AI technology integrated in the phone, it is no doubt that Huawei wants the Honor brand a leader of innovative smartphone in design and features.
