WWE Smackdown Spoilers: Cena Returns; Styles VS. Ziggler

Close

The holidays are just right around the corner and WWE Smackdown Spoilers for its Dec. 27 edition come in a bundle -- AJ Styles is scheduled to defend his WWE Title against Dolph Ziggler while the iconic John Cena is set to make his return to WWE TV after being away for months.

According to Forbes, John Cena and AJ Styles are scheduled to re-ignite their feud, this time for the world title. The idea behind it is John Cena is trying to tie Ric Flair's record as a 16 time world champion. For those who love Smackdown Spoilers, this obviously means that AJ Styles will retain his belt in his world title match against Dolph Ziggler.

John Cena has been making a name for himself in the world of acting as he recently hosted an edition of Saturday Night Live. According to Variety, he also landed a starring role in The Pact alongside Aaron Taylor-Johnson and directed by Doug Liman. For those avoiding Smackdown Spoilers, this obviously means that Cena will be back full-time in the WWE which means there is a chance he does become a 16 time world champion.

The Royal Rumble is the next pay-per-view for the blue brand so it is obvious Smackdown Spoilers for the Dec. 27 edition have superstars entering the Rumble match itself. Superstars who may enter the Rumble match include Dean Ambrose, The Miz, Baron Corbin and Kalisto. With Goldberg and Brock Lesnar both throwing their names in the Rumble match for the Raw brand, Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon certainly have to field an all-star lineup of superstars who will enter the match so a Smackdown superstar would emerge victorious.

The most obvious Smackdown spoilers for the Dec. 27 show have Becky Lynch and Alexa Bliss continuing their feud for the Smackdown Women's title. It will eventually lead to another match between the two superstars at Royal Rumble.
