Sony Xperia XZ, X Compact, X Performance Gets Android Nougat 7.0: How To Update; Best Features [Video]


Sony's latest Xperia phones can now be updated to Android 7.0 Nougat. The updates are sent over-the-air (OTA). Expect cool new features.

Before getting the update, make sure you are connected to a strong Wi-Fi network, and your handset is full of power. The update is a hefty 1GB, according to GSMArena, so it is also imperative you have ample space in your unit to accommodate the update files. Be patient for downloading will take a considerable time depending on the strength of your connection and the speed of your network.

Head to the settings menu of your Sony Xperia XZ phone and scroll to the bottom of the display. Locate 'About Phone' and tap and then pick 'Software Update' that will appear at the top of the new menu.
