‘Jurassic World 2’ Release, Cast: ‘Jurassic World’ Sequel Cast Adds ‘The Get Down’ Actor Justice Smith

By

Justice Smith, known for his role as Ezekiel Figueroa in "The Get Down," will join Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard in "Jurassic World 2."

The Hollywood Reporter confirmed the rumors that Smith will land a role in the sequel of the hit sci-fi movie in 2015. However, Smith's role in the sequel has not been revealed yet. Aside from "The Get Down," the actor also appeared in the movie adaptation of John Green's novel "Paper Towns." Aside from Smith, Toby Jones and Rafe Spall are also confirmed to be part of the "Jurassic World 2" but their roles are likewise not revealed yet.

Reports also claim that J.A. Bayona, who is known for the movie "A Monster Calls," will be the one to direct "Jurassic World 2." Accordingly, the filming is already in the pre-production stage and the rest of the characters are yet to be announced. It can be remembered that many characters have already died in the first part of the movie so new characters will be introduced soon. Meanwhile, those who managed to survived in part one are believed to reprise their roles in the sequel.

The producers of the movie include Frank Marshall, Belen Atienza and Pat Crowley while Steven Spielberg and Colin Trevorrow will be the executive producers. Also, Trevorrow will be writing the script along with Derek Connolly.

"Jurassic World" franchise is under the Universal Pictures, where it has become one of the most popular films released by the studio. The movie grossed $1.67 billion when it was first released in 2015. As such, many hope that the sequel will even be better.

In other news, it seems that Bryce Dallas Howard's unforgettable footwear choice in the "Jurassic World 2" seems to make its way to make a mark with filmmaker Colin Trevorrow's latest post about it. It can be noticed that Claire will be using boots entirely different from what she used to wear during the previous part.

"Jurassic World 2" is expected to premiere in theaters worldwide on June 22, 2018.
