[SPOILERS] 'Star Wars' 8 Leaked Script Reveals Rey is Key for the Future of the Jedi Order and the Entire Universe

A script for Star Wars Episode 8 leaked online with the character Luke Skywalker telling Rey that she will rekindle the fire.

Luke and Rey could be Related by Blood

This script only shows that Rey has a big role to play in the entire Star Wars universe. With episode 7's cliff-hanger ending of Rey giving Luke's lightsaber back to him, fans began to speculate that the two are somehow related as father and daughter, Citizen Oracle reported.

Hardcore Star Wars fans have been speculating on rumors online ever since episode 7 was released. Besides being Luke's daughter, some theories also claim that Rey could be Obi-Wan Kenobi's daughter.

The line from the leaked script may also mean that Rey could become a Jedi.

Could Mean Delay of Trailer

With "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" set for release in December 16, fans are expecting that an episode 8 trailer will be shown during the release of the spin-off movie. Unfortunately, if the recent leak of the script is accurate, the trailer could be postponed to 2017, MNR Daily reported.

Leak Comes from Reliable Sources

The leak of the script was released by Youtuber Mike Zeroh, who said that it came from four different sources. Two of those sources are reliable, according to Zeroh.

However, Zeroh still suggested that the leaks should be taken with a grain of salt, especially because those lines might not come out in the movie. But for Star Wars fans, the line coming from Mark Hamill's Luke Skywalker to Daisy Ridley's Rey makes a lot of sense to the hard core fans.

Some of the fans even believe that the line means Rey will unlock a a long-forgotten power of the force. Some even believe that Rey will bring the Jedi order back.

There are even fans who believe that the supposed leak is meant to appear in the 2017 trailer of Star Wars episode 8.
