“Star Wars” episode 8 spoilers will mostly resolve the many perplexing questions left hanging by episode 7 like how Luke's lightsaber ended in Maz Kanata's possession and how Ben Solo became Kylo Ren. Perhaps the most anticipated revelation will be on how the very first poster referred to Rey as Rey Skywalker, prompting many speculations on whether or not she is the long-lost daughter of Luke Skywalker.

Luke Skywalker's famous lines suggested that the Force has always been strong in the Skywalker family. "My father has it, I have it, my sister has it" are the very words pronounced by Luke, which may explain why Rey is also Force-sensitive.

Fans have long ago asked this question and even posed it to J.J. Abrams, who denied that Rey's parents will appear in episode 7 "The Force Awakens." Many fans interpreted Abram's comments as partly right, but not altogether accurate as reported in Movie Pilot.

Abrams mentioned "parents" which were not in the previous movie, but one "parent" could have, which is Luke Skywalker as reported in HNGN. The last scenes of "The Force Awakens" brought Rey and Luke together for the first time, setting up many of the "Star Wars" episode 8 spoilers circulating online. Moreover, an earlier poster for the movie, revealed a picture of Rey with the Skywalker name on it, further establishing the rumor as true.

Other plot twists include the back stories of Maz Kanata and how she took possession of the lightsaber. It was the lightsaber who picked Rey and woken the Force within her, which pretty much carried the story until the end.

One noticeable statement of Kylo Ren when he spotted Rey's lightsaber is when he speaks of the sword as belonging to him. Rumors say that he obtained the sword from a rich man and consequently lost it during the battle of the Seven and the Knights of Ren.

"Star Wars" episode 5 saw Luke losing his arm in fighting Darth Vader and subsequently, his lightsaber. Maz Kanata was able to find it, which may be further revealed in "Star Wars" episode 8 including Kylo Ren's back story.
