Vivo V5, V5 Plus Specifications Leaked Ahead of Tuesday's Launch

Chinese smartphone maker Vivo is set to launch its newest flagship Vivo V5 at an event in Mumbai, India. The phone’s predecessor Vivo V3 was already launched April this year.

The new Vivo V5 is expected to have significant upgrades and will be notable on the camera. According to leaked photos before its launch, the device will have two variants.

Vivo V5 Display and Processor

As per the leaked photos, the Vivo V5 will have 720x1280 pixels 5.5-inch HD display and will be powered by a 1.8GHz Octa-core Snapdragon 652 processor. The handset is expected to measures 153.8 x 75.5 x 7.55 mm and weighs 154 grams. It will also have 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage with an expandable storage up to 128GB of micro SD card.

Vivo V5 Operating System

The smartphone will be built on Android 6.0 Marshmallow that will run on Funtouch OS 2.6 for its operating system.

Vivo V5 Camera

The grandest feature of the upcoming Vivo V5 flagship is its camera. The smartphone will have a 20-megapixel front-facing camera and will feature a Moonlight flash. While the back camera will have 13 mega pixel main rear camera.

Vivo V5 Battery and Other Specifications

The smartphone will have a decent 3000 mAh battery capacity that is non-removable. It will also have a Hi-Fi chipset AK4376 for a better experience of sound and music.

It will also support a dual-SIM feature and 4G LTE, 3G, 2G for connectivity.

The Vivo V5 will also include sensors such as proximity sensor, e-compass, Accelerometer and Ambient light sensor.

Vivo V5 Plus

As mentioned in AndroidPure, Vivo will have two variants of the device. The Vivo V5 and a bigger version of Vivo V5 Plus.

Although there are still no concrete details and specification of the Vivo V5 Plus variant, it would surely have the 20 mega-pixel moonlight front-facing camera.

Vivo is set to launch Vivo V5 on November 15 at an event in Mumbai, India.
