Ghost Rider Boost 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D,' Deserves Spinoff

It's no secret that the addition of the Ghost Rider in "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Season 4 is an attention grabber not only to Marvel Comic Universe's fans, but to the overall viewing performance of the series.  Hence, there's a clamor brewing to give the breakout character a spinoff for the golden age of superheroes on TV.

The Ghost Rider's appearance in the "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Season 4 has helped the show maintain its ratings.  He is expected to appear in all of the 22 episodes of the series this season, which gives the superhero more room and time to highlight his character.

Robbi Reyes'/Ghost Rider's character, played by Gabriel Luna, deserves a spinoff similar to what producers did to the Punisher's character after he successfully appeared in "Daredevil's" Season 2.

Before airing on Netflix, ABC network executives have already shown interest with the writers' and actors' approach to have an anti-hero in the show, which led to a Punisher spinoff. The network might do the same thing ang give the Ghost Rider a spinoff, according to Screen Rant.

Meanwhile, the Ghost Rider's backstory on "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" is much different from its comic book version. The story focuses on Roberto "Robbie" Reyes who works at Canelo's Auto and Body shop in the morning, while street races illegally in the evening with a borrowed black Dodge Charger named Lucy.

As the story goes, the Fifth Street Locos gang mistook Robbie and Gabriel, his younger brother for someone else, impaled Gabriel from the waist down and eventually killing Robbie in the process. While in the depths of death\s darkness, Robbie plead for his brother's salvation and asked for the chance to take revenge against those who have wronged them, according to Cheat Sheet.

A former Ghost Rider answered his plea, and eventually passed his powers to Robbie. Robbie became the new Ghost Rider to fulfill his mission to go after the gang members responsible for what happened to them, including corrupt personalities, pedophiles and gangbangers.
