'The Flash: Season 3 Spoilers: Barry and Iris Relationship Will Be Official?

By

Rumors spreading online suggest Barry and Iris relationship will be official in Season 3.

The season finale of the "The Flash" Season 2 left fans with a major cliffhanger. For those who missed it, Barry went back in time and saved his mother from The Reverse Flash, Eobard Thawne. This action might be beneficial to Allen's childhood, with having both parents alive and well, but could also pose as monumental threat to the lives of all that he holds dear.

As far as time travel goes, the Flash storyline completely emphasizes that ripple effects will occur whenever anything from the past is changed. Even changing the course of a single past event could have a major impact on the lives of many in the present and future.

Just before the season ended, fans have witnessed the development Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and Iris West's (Candice Patton) relationship lean towards the direction of a budding romance. Wherein Iris finally reciprocated Barry's feelings through her realization that they may be destined to be together.

With the altered timeline, Barry may never get to cultivate those feelings for Iris, because he will not have the experience of living with Joe and Iris during his childhood. The sweet kiss the have shared in the season finale may not have happened at all in the altered timeline. Fans of the CW show will have to wait and see where Barry's time travel exploit leads to.

On a much different note, "The Flash" season 3 will still have multiple episode in which new characters will be introduced. There are some speculations that there may be at least one major character that will be killed off in Season 3. Rumors suggest that it could be someone very close to Barry, Yibada reported.

This rumor could be because another CW DC show killed off one of their major character in their previous season - Laurel Lance AKA the Black Canary was killed off in Season 4 of the Arrow.

CW's "The Flash" season 3 will be back on air on October 4, 2016, according to Release Date.
