By

The University of Liverpool has announced the launch of three online master's programs in Psychology.

The university's School of Psychology will offer new programs in Psychology, Mental Health Psychology and Organizational and Business Psychology. All three programs feature a cross-cultural international approach that allows students to learn collaboratively with other working professionals from across the world, share best practices and gain knowledge they can apply immediately.

"Our new psychology programs combine cutting-edge research and notable contributions from leading academics and practitioners in the field, using real-life case studies to create an interactive and highly stimulating online experience for students," Dr. Alex Forsythe, director of studies for the online psychology programs at the University of Liverpool, said in a statement. "Not only do students benefit from the latest research-led teaching, but graduates of the programs can use their degree as a stepping stone for professional advancement and doctoral research."

The master's programs in psychology provide students with a solid foundation in psychology without the requirement for an undergraduate degree in psychology. The health psychology program is rooted in a positive approach to mental well-being and awareness of cultural factors affecting mental health, while the master's programs in organizational and business psychology program balances practical and research skills to provide students with the knowledge, skills and cultural sensitivity required to apply psychology as a tool for organizational success and individual well-being in workplaces across the globe.

In addition, the school is also offering a new online Postgraduate Certificate in Psychology, allowing students with or without a previous degree in Psychology to complete their studies in one year. The certificate offers a foundation in psychology theory and practice, and knowledge of cultural aspects of human behavior, which are applicable to a wide range of careers worldwide. Students participate in an interactive, global online experience that offers practical, career-enhancing knowledge and skills.
